Position Overview:

As a Business Analyst specializing in supporting retail technology applications, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational efficiency and elevating the overall customer experience, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for connecting business objectives with technological solutions, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and working collaboratively with teams across various functions to deploy and upkeep technology solutions. Job Summary/Responsibilities:

Systems Analysis

• Assess existing retail technology systems, applications, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Analyze data flows, user interfaces, and system integrations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct thorough analysis to elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements Management & Solution Design

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and requirements related to retail technology applications.
• Work closely with solution architects and developers to design innovative and efficient solutions for retail technology applications.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications, considering scalability, usability, and maintainability.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, product managers, vendors, and other relevant parties.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure clear understanding of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate the functionality and performance of retail technology applications.
• Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve defects, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability.

Change Management

• Support change management efforts by assisting in the development of training materials, conducting user training sessions, and providing ongoing support and guidance to end-users during system implementations and upgrades.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the retail sector.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to drive efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer.

Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities:

• Serve as a member of the Technology team and support others as necessary.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.
• Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of the company through regular contributions to the general management of the company.
• Participate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects and informal activities.
• Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in the retail industry or related field
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
• Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
• Proactive, self-motivated, passionate and accountable. A self-starter approach with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with retail technology applications such as ERP systems, CRM, and e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira project management tools is a plus.
