Job description
Toyota Cool Springs Collision Center is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. We are a highly esteemed auto repair center and have been recognized as a Top Workplace by The Tennessean for over 5 years. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of estimating collision damage and the ability to work with customers, insurance companies and technicians to produce accurate estimates in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of damage and prepare written estimates of repair costs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance companies and technicians regarding the necessary repairs and estimate timeline.
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters regarding repairing versus replacing parts to save costs.
- Ensure that all repair work is completed in accordance with factory and insurance specifications.
- Stay current with repair and estimating techniques and tools.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and insurance companies.
- Complete all necessary paperwork to close out repair orders and initiate payment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Repair or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Knowledge of automotive repair software such as Audatex, CCC One, and/or Reynolds Ignite is preferred.
