Job description
The Center for Disability Services offers hope, innovation and achievement to the people we support. For over 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.
The Compliance Auditor, under the supervision of the Compliance and HIPAA Privacy Officer, is responsible for reviewing and evaluating operational areas of the Center for Disability Services and its affiliates that affect the documentation, coding and billing of services. This position manages internal and external audits, reviews and monitoring of programs that provide services reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid and/or other third-party payors/funding sources, and communicates both verbally and in writing the findings to the relevant division(s) and department(s) of the agency and assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of any corrective action plans. The Compliance Auditor also interacts with various areas of the agency to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and payment standards, as well as agency policies and procedures, and provides other support and assistance to the Compliance and HIPAA Privacy Officer as needed.
Requirements:
Certification in internal auditing and/or coding preferred.
The pay range for this position is $25.70 - $27.40 and is commensurate on experience.
