Waitstaff/Banquets:Serving customers ,moving tables, chairs and other banquet supplies. Applying linens in the correct fashion. Set-up and break-down of dance floors. Clean transportation vehicles used to movebanquet supplies. May assist with vacuuming, cleaning, and maintaining restaurant areas

Dishwasher: Cleaning kitchens to include; kitchen equipment, vents, floors, drains, walls and bathrooms. Washes, and properly racks, all china, glass, silver, pots and culinary utensils. Ensures that all kitchen areas are kept clean, neat and well stocked. Keeps hallways free of obstructions, floors clean/dry and responsible for frequent trash removal. Assist in basic food production. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals.

Housekeeper: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintenance and cleaning of units (bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchens), common areas and recreation facilities. Vacuuming, cleaning/waxing of floors; trash removal; removal of soiled linens and trash, stocking and maintaining supply rooms and other cleaning duties. Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times, assisting guests and owners. Support environmental and recycling programs, reporting any damage.

 

 

Hourly wage

You should expect to work an average of about 32 - 35 hours/week throughout the summer. Your schedule will be set by your manager and some parts of the season are busier than others. Training hours are paid at the regular hourly rate.

Hourly wage varies per resort/position, $12.25 to $14.00 per hour

Accommodation cost

Full housing details are still being finalized. Our dorms are equipped with beds and dressers. They are within walking distance to your workplace. We do not offer co-ed dorms, you can check with the housing office if they are able to accommodate friends together. Weekly housing costs will be provided as soon as they are available. There is a refundable $250 deposit required upon arrival. The housing office will provide more information.

Hunter, NY is approximately 1,600 feet above sea level. During our summer months you can expect days to be comfortable and mild. While we do experience hot and humid days, most of the summer is sunny with a cooling breeze. Summer in the Catskill Mountains has always drawn tourists to see the gorgeous scenery that surrounds us. We are walking distance to some of the best hiking available, there are streams and lakes in our community for a cooling swim. Locally we have museums, restaurants, a movie theater and performing arts center, the availability of culture exchange exists around every corner
