ABOUT THE ROLE:

Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, is responsible for developing and maintaining organizational reports, metrics, models, and scorecards/dashboards. The Data Analyst ensures accurate and timely distribution of data in support of organizational goals and responsibilities. The Data Analyst identifies opportunities to further leverage existing data applications for continuous process improvement around the distribution and consumption of organizational data.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: ( in descending order of importance )

  1. Presents data in meaningful charts, graphs, tables or other visualizations.
  2. Supports organizational goals and objectives through data collection and analysis for assigned projects and process improvement programs.
  3. Maintains existing dashboards and reports ensuring accuracy and consistent delivery methods through use of automated tools and workflows.
  4. Designs and develops data structures/relational databases for collection and storage of information related to organizational goals and projects.
  5. Ensures accurate and timely information gathering for internal and external audit requests.
  6. Works closely with Marketing, Sales, and Lending teams to identify opportunities for new member acquisition
  7. Develops predictive models to improve churn, acquisition, share of wallet, services per member/household.
  8. Conducts competitive research and analyze benchmarking data.
  9. Works alongside representatives from various departments to apply their data by designing and making suggestions for them to implement business models
  10. Performs other reporting, analysis, project and administrative related duties as assigned by the Manager, Business Analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

AS/BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Management, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Management, Marketing

Experience / Skills/Knowledge :

  1. Working knowledge of data presentation and report writing methodologies. Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Excel, Access, etc.) preferred.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Understanding of basic statistical methods and techniques.
  4. Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, Visual Basic, Pearl, PHP, HTML/CSS, C#, SQL, MATLAB, etc)
  5. Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Strong negotiation and collaboration skills needed.
  6. Strong member service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  7. Ability to handle simultaneously, multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  8. Ability to work/learn independently.
