Buxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking a full-time counselor for their Tatamy Creek campus in Easton, PA. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:45am to 3:45pm, Fridays until 2:45pm. There are no evening or weekend hours. Buxmont Academy has 6 campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Classes are small with a high teacher to student ratio, and our staff work together as a part of an educational and therapeutic team for each student.

The responsibilities of our counselors include but are not limited to promoting positive school culture, conducting behavioral interventions, and facilitating circles. Counselors also manage regulatory paperwork and reports.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree or higher level of education.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Talent in working with secondary school-aged students and ability to adapt to their developmental status.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The capacity to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or human services field. Experience in restorative practices is a plus.
