Director - MDM & Data Governance Practice Lead
Fulltime
Location- NJ (Onsite)
As the MDM Practice Lead, you will be responsible for leading our MDM practice and providing strategic guidance on data governance initiatives. You will play a critical role in helping our clients establish robust MDM frameworks, implement best practices for data governance, and drive data quality and integrity across their organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice Leadership:
- Lead and manage the MDM practice, including defining strategic objectives, setting practice direction, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the MDM practice, expand client base, and drive revenue growth.
- Provide thought leadership within the organization and the industry, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in MDM and data governance.
- Client Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on MDM and data governance initiatives tailored to their business objectives and challenges.
- Lead client engagements, including assessing current state, defining future state MDM and data governance frameworks, and developing implementation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with clients to define data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Solution Development:
- Drive the development of innovative MDM and data governance solutions to address client needs and industry challenges.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to enhance existing MDM solutions and develop new capabilities aligned with market requirements.
- Lead the customization and configuration of MDM platforms to meet client-specific requirements and use cases.
- Team Development:
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of MDM and data governance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in delivering successful MDM and data governance projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Promote professional development opportunities and training initiatives to enhance team members' skills and expertise in MDM and data governance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 13 17 years of experience and should have led in a MDM practice role, preferably Oracle MDM.
- Proven experience in leading MDM and data governance initiatives within a consulting firm or similar environment.
- Strong technical experience in the areas of master data management, meta data management, data quality, and data governance
- Excellent experience in master data management/government architecture and strategy design.
- Leadership and team management experience with the ability to provide strategic planning and oversight.
- Knowledge of the SaaS implementation lifecycle, including details of requirements, process validation, design, CRP, configuration, build, and test phases.
- Ability to interact with and manage the expectations of the client's senior management, members of the project team, and client team members.
- In-depth understanding of customer/supplier/Item master in ERP systems.
- Experience with Syndigo MDM and data governance tools is an added advantage.
- Solid knowhow and understanding of Data Governance tools like Alation, Reltio, Collibra.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering MDM and data governance projects from conception to completion.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Management Professional, Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus.
- Coach, mentor, and develop middle- and junior-level staff. Performance management of all the team members rolling up to the role
- Be known as a thought leader in a specific aspect of the information management technology spectrum or industry domain.
- Direct the training and skill enhancement of the team in line with pipeline opportunities.
