Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (Hybrid)

Job description

The Manager supports the RMA-NY business unit FP&A with all tasks, large and small. You will assist with system maintenance, reporting, financial analysis, by working collaboratively with a range of cross-functional partners to enable strategic decision-making. They also assist various stakeholders by combining business knowledge and acumen with data analytic skills to investigate trends, anomalies, generate ad-hoc reports, and provide recommendations. FP&A is not limited to financial data but also uses operational data and performance analytics to drive data-driven decision making. The FP&A department works on various projects reflecting the various needs of the business unit ranging across the P&L and Balance Sheet: headcount planning, cash flow forecasting, revenue and pricing, expense management, inventory, etc. You possess an analytical mind, an ability to communicate complex ideas, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth company.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Analytics, Reports, & Presentations:

· Analyzes and evaluates various types of data related to revenue, marketing, and operations to generate reports, ROI analyses, and detailed financial models

· Extracts, analyzes, and evaluates data primarily using Power BI, Adaptive Planning , Great Plains , MS Excel, and other tools

· Authors monthly reporting package to be reviewed with Senior Leadership and USF Executive Team

· Uses various sources of internal data/information to analyze business unit performance

· Support annual budget process for all revenue and expense items across US Fertility’s various reproductive health clinics and ancillary business lines

· Assist in the preparation and compilation of the periodic forecasts and budget templates

· Identifies changes and trends, flags issues, and recommends appropriate follow-up

· Uses financial and operational data to partner with stakeholders to support and develop growth initiatives and business development activities across the various business lines

· Presents monthly/quarterly/annual financial results and forecasts to USF Executive team members, along with other key stakeholders across the organization.

· Experience managing/reporting Capital Expenditure spend across a large organization with multiple business units

· Act within scope of authority consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies and practices

 

Project Management:

· Creates material for monthly and ad-hoc internal and external reporting purposes, drives analysis in support of that reporting

· Assists in the preparation of presentations from supporting data analyses where needed on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence

· Collaborates with other departments on ad-hoc projects, manages communications, creates and delivers presentations when needed/requested

· Proactively manages project timelines, monitors progress to anticipate issues, and constantly follows up with multiple parties through email, phone, and meetings to ensure projects are on track

· Evaluates project post-implementation status; analyzes and proposes recommendations for improvement

  Other duties and projects as required.

What You'll Bring:

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. This position requires 2 – 3 years of related experience and/or training preferable in business development, project management, management consulting or investment banking including financial analysis, valuation model building (3 statement financials), and basic accounting knowledge. Previous experience with financial analytics in a managed care (insurance) or medical lab setting/company highly preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to speak and write English; communicate effectively and professionally with clients and external contacts; write routine reports and correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and employees.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to analyze data; carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in MS Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with Adaptive Planning and Great Plains is required.

Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills to analyze disorganized data, develop various methods to interpret results, and come up with relevant conclusions; strong critical thinking skills to solve problems; strong research skills and ability to synthesize findings; excellent written and verbal communication (ability to communicate complex information into clear, concise presentations) and follow-up skills; strong relationship building skills within the business unit as well as the broader USF organization; excellent customer service skills; high level of interpersonal skills to interact with peers and management; strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials; excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail; proactive and able to multi-task and prioritize without constant supervision and direction.

  Other Qualifications

Willing to travel as required.
