Job description
This position is responsible for molasses mixing at molasses plant and will perform repairs and maintenance on liquid tanks and pumps at customer’s locations.
- Oversee and monitor molasses mixing at molasses plant.
- Ensure trucks are loaded correctly and proper documentation is submitted related to product shipment.
- Follow the correct sequencing and batching protocols.
- Collect and turn in daily samples.
- Performing repairs and maintenance on liquid tanks and pumps including stick welding.
- Assist with repairs of liquid tanks to customer locations as needed
- Minimal welding and use of oxygen and acetylene torch is required.
- Maintain parts inventory and upkeep of service truck.
- Housekeeping: Responsible for clean-up of liquids storage and mixing areas.
- Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as required.
- Loading, unloading and heating rail cars.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Liquids Division Manager or Fats/Oil Processer Lead.
- Assist with repairs of liquid tanks to customer locations as needed
- Assemble of liquid tanks to customer locations as needed.
- Functionally cross-trained in other support roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be familiar with working with livestock liquid feed ingredients.
- Minimum of two (2+) years of experience in similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of pneumatic tools
- Able to make repairs and perform maintenance on equipment in the field
- Must be able to stick weld.
- Must possess a courageous, but respectful personality
- Must be able to work well with truck drivers as well as customers, salesmen, and operations/production staff and management
- Must represent the company well to customers – must be polite, respectful and customer service oriented
- Must be a good communicator
- Highly self-motivated and self-accountable, requiring little supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good penmanship
- Highly organized, ability to follow through to ensure all documentation is current and accurate
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb
- Must be comfortable working in sticky and/or dusty and/or noisy environments
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions
- The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process
- The employee will be exposed to steam and heated product.

The pay range for this position is $22/hr-$24.25/hr. The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
