Job description
Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with 1000+ legal and business professionals in sixteen offices, is currently searching for a full-time litigation paralegal to join our Houston office. Candidates should have 3+ years of litigation experience and must be able to juggle multiple time-sensitive assignments. Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, business acumen, outstanding attention to detail, and a teamwork focus.
Job responsibilities include: - Researching and analyzing sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, legal codes, etc.
- Preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, etc. for review, approval, and use by attorneys.
- Investigating facts and law of case to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly.
- Filing pleadings with court clerk personally and electronically.
- Preparing affidavits of documents and maintaining document files.
- Delivering or directing delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree and/or paralegal certificate required.
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Extraordinary attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task when needed.
- Ability to work individually or in team environment.
