Intake Coordinator

Full-time 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri
York County Children’s Advocacy Center

The York County Children’s Advocacy Center is an independent, non-profit organization that provides a comprehensive program of forensic interviews, medical examinations, interagency coordination, and family/child advocacy and referrals for children and families affected by sexual or physical abuse.

The Intake Coordinator will coordinate and manage scheduling of all forensic interviews and forensic medical exams. This position will ensure adequate coverage of waiting room supervision, availability of forensic interviewers and forensic nurses for appointments, and coordinate schedules with all members of a multidisciplinary investigation team, including law enforcement, prosecution and child protective services.

Candidate should be comfortable working with caregivers and victims of sexual & physical abuse, and demonstrate evidence of multi-tasking and strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills are essential to the position. Experience with data entry, and written and electronic documentation in a client database is required. Candidate must be comfortable with significant hours daily on telephone calls. Ability to communicate and work effectively across disciplines of a multidisciplinary child abuse investigative team is vital to the role.

. Requirements

· Bachelors Degree preferred or comparable training and experience in administrative assistance, project management, scheduling and coordinating appointments

· Exceptional writing, organizational, communication, and networking skills a must.

· Successful completion of a background check, including ChildLine clearances.

· Experience with child protective services, criminal justice system or victim advocacy services preferred.

· Working knowledge of child abuse issues a plus

· Bilingual (Spanish) a significant asset.
