Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) is responsible for performing work of average difficulty and provides the first journey level analytical and administrative support necessary to administer state and federal grants, state and federal reimbursements, and agreements with outside entities. The SSA conducts research and analysis, utilizing reasonable judgment and discretion to interpret and apply statues, regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the administration of grants In addition, the SSA will provide backup services to the Workload Measurement, Forms, and Publications SSA.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework up to 5 days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. A teleworker is considered Remote-centered if they work fifty percent or more of their time from an alternate work location. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
