Job description
This position manages and coordinates logistics, and has operational and administrative oversight of the M1M2 Education office. Incumbent will also assist the Assistant Vice Dean for PreClinical Education in coordinating efforts related to delivery of the medical school curriculum.
- Apply working knowledge of preclerkship phase and roles of the curriculum coordinators in order to triage requests from the Assistant Vice Dean for PreClinical Education, teaching faculty, students, coordinators, and administrators
- Works with, and assists, curriculum coordinators to ensure smooth functioning of the preclerkship phase curriculum, to include but not limited to MD program orientation, preclerkship courses, threads, and Resource Scheduler
- Communicates via verbal and written responses to inquiries from stakeholders of the MD program curriculum faculty, students, and administrators regarding preclerkship phase curriculum and related matters
- Monitors and tracks requirements for preclerkship phase students as assigned
- Coordinates and manages schedules for Assistant Vice Dean for PreClinical Education
- Assists with forecasting and budget reconciliation related to execution of preclerkship phase curriculum
- Coordinates and processes reimbursement claims from educational grants, work related travel, and preclerkship phase needs
- Schedules meetings and organizes preclerkship phase curriculum retreats to include collation of printed and electronic materials for dissemination
- Takes minutes for meetings and curriculum subcommittees related to preclerkship phase curriculum and distributing those to appropriate constituents
- Creates and sends email communications to multiple stakeholders of the MD program curriculum
- Maintains files, minutes, and documents required for accreditation compliance related to preclerkship phase curriculum
- Provides light copy-editing of text for grammar, spelling, and format
- Assisting with travel plans for the Assistant Vice Dean and faculty members involved in education related projects
- Performing other duties as assigned
Associate degree. Three (3) years of relevant experience in a higher educational setting. Prior experience with curriculum and pre-clerkship phase is desired. Experience with windows operating system, MS Office Suite, and a learning management system is highly desired. Must be proactive and open to learning.
