Job description
Aderas, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the team.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide technical support for security of software and hardware
- Develop a Security Management Plan and carry out strategy
- Identify privacy and security concerns
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures
- Complete security packages following the Risk Management Framework process
- Develop and update technical security reports
- Conduct quarterly STIG
- Conduct security baselines, vulnerability assessments and recommendations
- Develop, and track to closure, Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and Acceptance of Risk (AORs)
- Maintain compliance with all vendor released security patches including IAVMs
- Document security incidents, investigations, findings, and remediation actions for reporting, analysis, and compliance purposes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of incident response plans, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity plans to ensure organizational resilience in the event of security incidents or disruptions
- Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders on security-related matters and initiatives
Required Education & Work Experience:
- BS or higher degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field, or 5+ yrs equivalent experience
- 3+ yrs experience in Cybersecurity
- Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Management Framework and NIST security requirements
- Must meet 8570 Certifications - at minimum IASAE Leve I requirements, preferably, IASAE Level II
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Healthcare sector
- Experience in Military Health
- Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat detection, and security analysis
- Familiarity with security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat intelligence platforms
- Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and risk assessments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical community
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and dedication to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required for Applicants (Secret Clearance requires U.S. Citizenship)
