Job description
Island Therapies is a multidisciplinary therapeutic center that is located in Long Island, NY. A program under Liberty POST, Island Therapies offers a holistic team approach using a variety of interventions for children including Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), Speech/Language Pathology, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Special Education and Assessment based on each child's individual needs.
Island Therapies is looking for energetic and devoted Physical Therapists to work primarily in Suffolk County with some cases available in Eastern Nassau County. We are looking for therapists to join our multidisciplinary team servicing and/or evaluating children through NYS Early Intervention, CPSE, CSE and Insurance. As a team member you will have an opportunity to work with knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated colleagues with full administrative support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, dyspraxia, gross motor delay, etc.) in their homes and/or our sensory gym in Deer Park.
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations.
- Provide center-based and home care services.
- Skilled in supporting children in school and at home.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New York required.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.
- Knowledge of New York State laws/regulations in regards to Physical
Therapy - Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers and databases
- A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Rates: Office/Clinic Based (EI/CPSE): starting $27.50 for 30 minute session Home/Community Based EI: 45Minutes: $55 60 minute: $71.50 Home/Community Based CPSE starts at $32.50 for 30 minute session Evals starting at $150 Island Therapies cares about your safety.
