SAIC is seeking a Computer Based Training (CBT) developer to join our Defense & Civilian Sector in support of the Federal Aviation Administration Integrated Service Center (FAA ISC) on the Customer Experience and Innovation/User Education & IT Training team. Responsible for preparing training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems. Conducts training analysis, designs and develops training curricula, designs and develops multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training.
Travel estimate for this position is less than 10% of the time, but travel may be required to meet customer requirements.
THIS POSITION IS REMOTE AND CAN BE WORKED ANYWHERE IN WITHIN THE US.
Responsibilities:
- Implement training courses for technical and procedural-based topics.
- Develop and deliver standard, complex, and customized training based on needs.
- Conduct human centered design discussions to gain knowledge of current practices and needs for the purpose of including in forthcoming training sessions.
- Develop and update service training instructor-led classroom materials, including facilitator/participant guide, job aids, etc.
- Develop storyboards with customers to establish a clear understanding of the learning objective for the development of computer-based training modules.
- Develop new CBTs and modify existing CBT templates to improve learning.
- Publish CBT training files and training documents.
- Development of training material in compliance with the Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience. Additional experience may be acceptable in lieu of the Master’s degree.
- Must be willing to work effectively within a team environment in a fast-paced support role.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years with the ability to obtain a public trust
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A Master’s degree related to Computer and Information Technology Services and 10 years of experience.
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Illustrator, Articulate Storyline 360.
- Knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting CBT’s into a learning management system.
- Ability to create, test, and review new and existing course materials for the development of Computer-Based Training (CBT).
- Ability to work under a tight deadline.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, be dependable, outgoing and positive with excellent problem solving skills.
Target salary range: $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
