Our menu reflects the Mediterranean and Eastern European heritage of Chef Michael Symon, a renowned Iron Chef and bestselling cookbook author. Responsibilities:

• Proper set up of station with all necessary tools and supplies needed for each shift
• Prepare a variety of made-to-order food
• Use kitchen equipment such as a fryer or griddle
• Ensure 100% product quality
• Comply with Bar Symon kitchen rules, food presentation, and quality standards
• Stock products to ensure smooth shift transitions
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
• Follow proper ServeSafe guidelines
• Assist with food prep, cleaning, and dishes during slow periods
• Follow closing procedures according to Bar Symon policies

Requirements:

• Bar Symon food preparation knowledge (can be learned during training)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while presenting properly cooked and visually appealing dishes
• Professionalism and ability to maintain a calm composure and friendly demeanor
• Knowledge and care of kitchen equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Punctuality and proper attendance
• Ability to follow Bar Symon policies and procedures
• Available to work evenings

Bar Symon is open 365 days a year, with operating hours starting as early as 3 a.m. and going until the last plane leaves the tarmac (usually around 9 p.m.).

Chef Michael Symon cooks with soul. Lola, Mabel’s BBQ, Roast, Bar Symon, Angeline and B Spot Burgers are all wonderful examples of not only how Michael was raised but how food shaped him. He also shares his exuberant, approachable cooking style and infectious laugh with viewers as an Iron Chef on the Food Network, Burgers, Brew & ‘Que and as ABC’s resident chef. He is also a former co-host of the Emmy-winning TV show, The Chew. Michael is the author of six award winning cookbooks, four of which have landed on The New York Times Best Seller list. When he’s not working, Michael is cooking at home, playing golf, thinking about his next tattoo, gardening in the backyard and spending time with his wife, Liz, Kyle, Krista, their granddaughter Emmy and staffy bull terrier Norman.
