$2,500 Sign-On bonus

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some evenings

Partners in Recovery is the premier provider of quality comprehensive outpatient counseling, medication management and medication assisted treatment services to adults who are experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our clinical approach is person-centered and is tailored to address the interaction of the individual's substance use and psychiatric-related issues.

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board seeks a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Eligible Therapist to join our Partners in Recovery program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a commitment to empowering individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to lead fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, case managers, and support staff, to coordinate care and ensure holistic support for clients.
• Monitor clients' progress toward treatment goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources within the community.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Master's Degree in Human Services (Social Work or Counseling) with one (1) year of clinical experience with the assigned population. Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure within the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.

License-eligible as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.

Current H-NNCSB employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
