FMLA School Social Worker: ASAP – End of School Year

Position Overview: We have a full-time School Social Worker opening with one of our favorite school partners in Aurora! This Elementary focused position will cover an FMLA beginning immediately through the end of the school year. During this time, the Social Worker will manage a Special Education caseload of K-5 th grade students. With a community focus, a highly supportive environment, and other Related Service professionals to lean on, a position doesn’t get better than this!

Job Responsibilities: - Manage a Special Education caseload of K-5 th grade students through social, emotional, and academic enrichment programs.
- Advocate for the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students.
- Provide counseling (1:1, small group, whole group) to MTSS students
- Address legal issues.
- Collaborate with other staff, parents, families, and community resources.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary to ensure student safety and success.
Qualifications: - Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
- LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
- Eligible Professional Educators License (PEL)
- Preferred experience in a K-5 setting
