Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

One of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Associate’s degree with 1 year of health information systems experience
• Minimum 5 of the last 7 years’ experience as a certified pharmacy technician

Licensure, Registration, Certification:  

If hired under minimum 5 of the last 7 years’ experience as licensed pharmacy technician, must:

• Upon placement in position, provide proof of Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board(PTCB) or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians(ICPT)
• Maintain current registry with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy (ASBP)

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and working knowledge of programming in an IBM mainframe environment.

Epic System Certification

The Clinical Systems Builder is responsible for the implementation, development, programming and overall support of the clinical systems. Performs programming techniques/procedures and other associated activities to prepare assigned programs, screens, and job control language in an effective and efficient manner, for use by IH and other entities, in support of the strategic goals of the organization.
