Job Description:
Lighthouse Laboratory Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part Time Molecular Technical Supervisor to join our laboratory in Arlington, TX on a part-time basis, with limited hours.
The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for operating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the molecular laboratory, sample prep and processing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services, and daily laboratory operations. In addition, perform all duties as outlined in CLIA regulations (42 C.F.R. 493.1451), as well as all responsibilities delegated to the Technical Supervisor by the Laboratory Director, including ensuring each of the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures?as outlined in CLIA ยง 493.1495, as well as requirements provided by state and local statutes and regulations.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance.
- Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals.
- Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
- Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests are properly functioning.
- Quality assessment and quality control programs are established and maintained.
- Providing training to all testing personnel
- Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel
Additional Responsibilities:
- Completes mandatory training and professional development as required or requested.
- Attends company meetings as required or requested.
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
Must meet the qualifications provided under CLIA regulations for a High-Complexity Technical Supervisor (42 C.F.R. 493.1449), such as:
- Earned doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution and minimally, 1 year of training and/or experienced in high complexity?testing in the designated specialty/subspecialty of responsibility, or
- Earned masters in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. Minimally, 2 years of training and/or experienced in high complexity?testing in the designated specialty/subspecialty of responsibility, or
- Earned bachelors in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution. Minimally, 4 years of training and/or experienced in high complexity?testing in the designated specialty/subspecialty of responsibility.
- Must hold licensure issued by the State in which the laboratory is located, if such licensing is required.
- Experience with Quant Studio 5 Preferred
- Previous experience with sample prep
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
- Industrial/clinical laboratory experience.
- Diverse scientific calculation procedures and statistics.
- Excellent knowledge of CLIA statute and regulations as well as accreditation requirements.
- Technical writing.
- Mastery of Word/Excel
- Familiarity with current industry trends and expectations relating to bioanalytical issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with respect to laboratory systems and procedures.

Salary:
- This is a part time position offering $25/hour
