Shift Information: Nights 7pm - 7am; 36/48 schedule
Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients who require intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. You will work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities: - Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and implementing prescribed treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and continuously monitor their progress, promptly identifying any changes or deterioration.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and hospital regulations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans, making evidence-based decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on the plan of care, medications, and any necessary lifestyle modifications. Offer emotional support and answer questions to alleviate concerns.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in the PCU, such as cardiac monitors, ventilators, and infusion pumps, ensuring patient safety and accuracy.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiate emergency protocols when necessary, and provide life-saving interventions as required.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and the highest level of care.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest advancements in nursing practice, attending continuing education programs and training sessions as required.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, and their families, ensuring a collaborative and compassionate care environment.
Qualifications: - Valid RN license in state of practice and current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a progressive care unit or a related critical care setting.
- ACLS certification is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Job Description:
General orientation will begin on Sundays. Sunday will be online CBLs.
Traveler can start any Sunday that the compliance documents are complete by the deadline.
Contract RN/LPN team members are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education as we prepare future nurses for the profession. The clinical nursing student education responsibility is expected in addition to/alongside the provision of clinical care practice in every nursing specialty.

Radius Rule is 100 miles to qualify as a traveler.
