Job description
Reingold’s cutting-edge digital experience team is seeking a java developer to help design, build, create dynamic apps and websites for our various social-impact communications campaigns.
As our firm grows in a big way, we’re looking for eager learners, creative thinkers, motivated doers, and flat-out interesting people to join our team and jump into our work — as well as our company barbecues, softball team, open-mic nights, or book clubs.
Here’s the role:
Reingold is hiring a Java web developer to help create dynamic apps and websites for our various social-impact communications campaigns.
In your day to day, you can expect that you will:
- Build and apply your understanding of the Java development life cycle
- Design, configure, test, implement, and maintain web-based apps
- Contribute your unique and fresh perspective to fulfill client needs
- Collaborate with just about everybody, including all the acronyms: user experience (UX), information architecture (IA), search engine optimization (SEO)
This role is a good fit for someone with the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or similar web development field
- 1+ years of experience building apps with a Java-based stack and Object-Oriented Programming
- Initiative, intellect, and reliability, plus a strong stamina for learning new technology
- Fundamental front-end development experience using JavaScript and HTML
- Knowledge of code-versioning tools like Git
- Experience with Apache Sling, OSGi development, JSP development, Apache web server, and CSS, preferred but not required.
