Job description

Position Summary

The Training and Education Coordinator is responsible for developing and conducting capacity building and compliance training and educational workshops for community and agency partners. They will assess the needs for training within the Arkansas Foodbank service area. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate training opportunities to meet those needs. This position will coordinate all required training opportunities for agency and community partners including food safety training, USDA required trainings and others to ensure agency and community partners meet all state, federal, Arkansas Foodbank, Feeding America, health, food safety and facility operation standards.

The Training and Education Coordinator is a vital member of the Programs department and collaborates with them to support the implementation of new strategies, programs or initiatives. This position will be comfortable learning new technology, as well as an eagerness to utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems. They will possess strong interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration and team work, and a commitment to hunger relief.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may regularly be exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme cold or heat, and general outside weather conditions.

Hourly/non-exempt $20.67/hr ($43,000)
