Job Title: Product Manager - Mobile Games
Location: Irvine - fulltime onsite, Mon-Fris
Salary: $75k-$100k+ dependent on experience

An established game publisher company in Irvine, CA is looking for a qualified candidate to assume the role of Product Manager, a leader actively engaged in the planning, management, and operations of live service for a free-to-play Mobile MMORPG title. This manager will be leading the new TCG mobile game operation team. (small team with 1 Game Master and 2 Customer Support Agents) This TCG game is still being developed, and we are planning to launch around September this year. He/She will need to start from scratch to prepare the services.
What You Will Be Doing
2. Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Actively managing the live service of a Mobile TCG product, including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Customer Support, Community Management, and Content Updates.
- Developing and implementing game operation strategies to maximize revenue, engagement, retention, and user satisfaction.
- Analyzing player data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and developing plans to address them.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, design, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful game operation.
- Monitoring game performance metrics, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize game performance.
- Managing game updates and releases, ensuring timely and effective communication with users and stakeholders.
- Managing the in-game economy, including virtual currency and pricing strategies.
Our focus is to find a Product Manager who has extensive experience in creating a launch plan, executing the launch, and managing the post-launch phase, including live operations. However, we do require someone with experience in setting up community areas such as Discord and other communication platforms. This is to ensure that we have the necessary infrastructure in place to foster player engagement and communication. While we have internal staff to support the community, we will also have an outsourced team dedicated to community management and live operations support.
What You Need for this Position
3. Qualifications (Skills and Experience)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in live mobile game service operation management as a Game Producer, Product Manager, Project Manager, CS Manager or Lead Game Master.
- Strong experience in live service operations (CS, Community, In-game events, planning, QA)
- Gaming industry knowledge: A deep understanding of the mobile gaming industry is crucial, including user behavior, trends, and monetization strategies.
- Analytical skills: You must be able to analyze user data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize game performance and maximize revenue.
- Communication skills: You will need excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and users through various channels.
- Leadership skills: You will need strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, inspire and motivate team members, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Relevant experience: Relevant work experiences in the mobile gaming industry or related fields, such as project management or business development, is typically required.
