Job description
Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Manager, Pharmacy Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department and ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven track record of driving process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support in their daily activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medication orders, compounding, and labeling.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to monitor and improve medication safety and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new developments in pharmacy practice to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of pharmacy staff.
- Manage pharmacy budget and monitor expenses to meet financial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Pharmacy licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive process improvements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
