Job description
Position Overview: The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the accounting department, overseeing its daily operations and financial activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash forecasting, month-end close, reconciliations and balance sheets. The Accounting Manager is also responsible for maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure and conducting audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the accounting department, ensuring its operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Plan and execute accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
- Perform cash forecasting, month-end close, reconciliations and balance sheets.
- Maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure and security.
- Conduct audits and present audit reports to management.
- Advise and support executive management with financial reports, analysis and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with 5 years of management experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Proficient in SAP and ERP systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
