POSITION SUMMARY
As the Senior Manager/Associate Director of IT Enterprise Applications, you will directly report to the Head of IT and oversee G&A enterprise applications (Finance, Human Resources, and Legal) within a public company. Your pivotal role will involve supporting SOX audits, ensuring compliance, and managing workplace and financial applications such as procure-to-pay, expense management, and report-to-close. In this hands-on position, you will collaborate with business owners, identify technology needs, and provide recommendations for enhancements, leveraging both internal and external resources.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with G&A stakeholders and senior management to understand current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop the G&A IT budget.
- Lead the design and implementation of integration points with existing and new applications.
- Coordinate and oversee external developers for technical engineering tasks.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for application and data integration within G&A functions.
- Project manage new initiatives and enhancement efforts for enterprise systems.
- Create and maintain IT documentation for changes, business processes, and data flow.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and help resolve issues related to financial and related applications.
- Administer and maintain financial applications access to ensure data security and integrity.
- Facilitate the change review process and develop documentation to support proposed changes.
- Support SOX and other audits, including pulling reports, reviewing access and changes, gathering signatures, and coordinating with external auditors.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve provisioning and de-provisioning touchpoints.
- Develop an understanding of key business goals and operational requirements to advise on new or enhanced IT cloud-based solutions and systems.
- Provide feedback to the IT leadership team to identify, prioritize, and deliver solutions.
- Manage and process vendor, consultant, and managed service contracts.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to support evolving business and capabilities requirements.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of projects and operational support.
- Ensure compliance with IT change control, SDLC procedures, and oversee change management.
- Perform advanced financial analysis using data gathered from financial applications.
- Maintain a strong focus on the security and integrity of financial data, implementing and monitoring data security measures.
- Stay updated on advancements in financial applications and technology, adapting to industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users. Create and maintain comprehensive guides for financial application processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, information management, or Finance/Accounting
- 3+ years of NetSuite application administration or 5+ years as a business systems analyst with ERP systems (Dynamics 365, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience in implementing and supporting HRIS Systems or HR processes (Workday, Namely, Hire-to-Fire).
- 5+ years of experience with IT enterprise applications (identity management, document management, learning management, reporting tools, communication platforms).
- Experience in a public company/SOX environment.
- Hands-on experience in the administration and configuration of financial applications.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience in procure-to-pay processes.
- Experience managing relationships with financial application vendors.
- Change management experience related to financial applications.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy business environment and work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities quickly.
- Accountability and self-motivation for organizational improvements.
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and adherence to policies.
- Understanding of different applications and data flow, proposing solutions, and integrating systems across the organization.
- Database administration and technical accounting background are pluses.
