Job description

In order for our facilities to operate efficiently, we are actively seeking a member to join our maintenance department. This position would primarily consist of maintaining the coolant levels of almost 50 CNC machines while also including other job duties as listed below.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in a machine ship environment such as using a floor scrubber and emptying aluminum chip bins.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance on CNC machines, also including tasks such as replacing light bulbs and air conditioning filters
• Occasionally assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and break room.
• Performs limited grounds maintenance.
• Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Assists in examining building for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to operations manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical work such as an oil change
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate measuring tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
• Ability to keep the building clean and orderly.
• Ability to interact with staff while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
• Ability to drive a forklift and/or scrubber is preferred but not required.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must have steel toed shoes
