Job description
Interested in helping government entities ensure privacy and protection of personal data? If so, the Office of Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) is seeking to hire one Privacy Analyst to develop, review and implement privacy policies, practices, and processes to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and policies. This position is Hybrid and eligible for telework up to three (3) days a week.

As our Privacy Analyst you will be responsible for…
- Working closely with the DGS project managers to align policies and procedures with organizational and technical objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Providing guidance on or leading the technical implementation of privacy requirements.
- Responding to, documenting and providing oversight on incidents to address current and prevent future privacy issues.
- Working with cross-functional teams in planning or implementing projects or initiatives and providing privacy oversight support to address privacy risks and mitigations.
- Acting as a liaison between the DGS divisions and the enterprise technology team.
- Providing excellent customer service while consistently meeting project deadlines.
- Conducting privacy risk assessments, evaluating risks associated with business activities and systems related to data or privacy and recommending controls as needed.
Highlights of the position …
- Implement and administer the Data Protection Program which includes Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Classification and the corresponding applications and tools.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the DGS Privacy Program and administer privacy protocols that improve the business environment in the state.
- Develop and implement privacy policies, operational guides and procedures for the Privacy Program.
