We are seeking an dynamic people leader with exceptional accounting and finance experience to fill a Controller position. The Controller role will report directly to the VP, Corporate Accounting and be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and management accounting standards. This includes managing financial processes like month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, and the preparation and delivery of financial statements, managing year end audits and assisting in financial projections. The role requires providing detailed financial updates to senior management, developing, and maintaining robust financial controls, and improving internal accounting processes in alignment with organizational goals. Individual will be passionate about growing and developing their teams, have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises team of 8-10 exempt professionals and carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties related to this position, the team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs, for up to eight (8) hours. Must be capable of hearing within what is considered to be a normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include capable of distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and perception, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Abilities
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Work Environment
The majority of the work involved in this position will be conducted from an office or other field office. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
