Auris Health, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Summer Intern within our Robotics and Digital Solutions (RAD) organization! This position will be based at the San Jose, CA site.

As a leader in the industry, we are excited to offer an unique internship opportunity for a talented and motivated student to contribute to the development of a voice-based Digital Assistant. As our Summer Intern, under the mentorship of an EHS Manager and engineers, the intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote and uphold compliance, and drive continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

1. Collaboration : Work closely with our users to understand project requirements.
2. Design : Develop architectural design for the implementation of the Voice based Digital Assistant.
3. Coding and Development : Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to implement various features and functionality of the Voice based Digital Assistant.
4. Testing and Debugging : Conduct thorough testing of the Voice based Digital Assistant to identify and resolve any bugs or issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
5. Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the Voice based Digital Assistant, including technical specifications, user guides, and developer documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Prior academic and practical background in general machine learning and deep learning.
• Understanding of natural language processing (NLP), speech processing, and information retrieval concepts.
• Proven experience with retrieving data from Relational Database Management Systems.
• Demonstrated experience with information retrieval using Apache Lucene.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with voice-based chatbot development frameworks and tools.
• Currently enrolled in an university, pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field
• Must be enrolled in university during the internship period

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the US.

The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $27.60/hr, Junior $28.75/hr, Senior $31.05/hr, Master's degree $36.80/hr.
