Senior Network Engineer
Location: - Aurora, Colorado Rate: $70 to $88 an hour depending on Benefit Package Clearance Required : United States DOD Top Secret with Counter Intelligence Polygraph We are seeking a Strategic Network Engineer who is able modify Designs within a Cisco System for Next Generation Satellite Data Management. Have you worked in an evolving threat landscape and strategically created hardening plans to ensure exploits are reviewed for Impact and Exploitability? Have you worked within a Network Center to develop Architecture with an Impact to Availability and Confidentiality? Would you be able to effectively work with Clients to develop implementations that are able to Harden Access Vectors, Access Complexity, and Authentication? This position requires hands on development of designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations, utilizing knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices. Expectations: * Integrate industry best practices and capabilities to design, deploy, implement, modernize, and support scalable network solutions * Design World Class Network for performance and scalability across multiple computing environments * Linux skills at the command line to deploy updates and change products for Cisco based network systems to support program needs * Ability to develop Technical Orders for guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization * Troubleshooter with experience in network issue mitigation as well as prevention Basic Qualifications: * An Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance * Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics * Over 5 years of related work experience * Comp TIA Security + within 90 days after starting in the role * Designing, configuring, deploying, and supporting network systems (E.g. Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, Brocade)* Linux System Administration (E.g. RHEL 6.0+) Preferred Qualifications: * Current Networking Certification (CCNA, CCNP)* Current Comp TIA Security + certification * TACAS+ experience preferred * IAM - identity management, access management, and authorization solutions (PKI, LDAP, OAUTH, OpenID)* Agile Development (Jira, Confluence, SAFe, Scrum)* Continuous Integration / Development is strongly desired * Scripting languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Bash)* Scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify)* Code repository systems (E.g. ClearCase, Bit Bucket)* Automation frameworks - Jira * Containerization tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher is a plus This is a W-2 position, due to the nature of this role we are unable to work with Third Party Vendors.
