Responsibilities:
- Provide patients with oral hygiene advice to make sure they maintain pristine dental care a healthy smile
- Help with administrative duties such as welcoming patients, taking phone calls, making appointments for dental visits, ordering supplies, and handling billing
- Sterilize and lay out dental instruments and get all equipment ready, such as x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials, to prepare treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures
- Work with dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by assisting with dental instruments and assure the patients’ mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
- Inform patients about proper oral health care to prevent infections after dental procedures
- Perform coronal polishing on hygiene patients
- Perform all expanded function dental assistant duties such as fillings, crowns, impressions, space maintainers, etc for operative patients
Qualifications:
- Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
- Possess the ability to provide patients with excellent care and service
- Applicants should have basic data entry and computer skills
- Candidates must have graduated from a dental assistant program
- Must have dental radiology/x-ray certification
