The Senior Manager, Compensation leverages deep functional and technical expertise to deliver analytic support for the design and administration of compensation programs across the organization. This role acts as a compensation subject matter expert, and influences the development and implementation of company incentive initiatives. This position brings a balance of thought leadership, customer focus, process rigor and analytical skills. As a leader on the team, this manager models exemplary leadership behaviors within Total Rewards and across the broader HR organization that support the Company’s purpose and values.
A day in the life of the Senior Manager, Compensation…
Consult and advise Business Leaders, HRBPs, and team members regarding matters involving job analysis, salary management, and other complex compensation decisions
Research, design, develop, implement, and communicate ongoing administration of a variety of compensation programs and plans targeting all levels of associates at all locations
Perform market pricing, analysis, recommendations, business partner education, and communication
Conduct competitive market analysis and consult with senior management and Human Resources representatives to provide recommendations on compensation-related matters
Manage the planning and workflow of annual, quarterly, and monthly compensation processes including, but not limited to: Short Term Incentives, Long Term Incentives, and Annual Compensation Review
Manage the process for data modeling and cost projection related to base pay and incentive plan design
Develop and interpret guidelines for managers on compensation issues and pay practices
Manage all aspects of performance, development and recognition for direct reports to encourage professional growth

Expert understanding of Compensation programs and practices
Demonstrated success in compensation modeling and design
Advanced knowledge of state and national laws that have a bearing on compensation
Advanced analytical skills to assess a variety of metrics to drive strategy development and execution
Strong collaboration and alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management both internally and externally

Ability to work 3 days/week from our Corporate Office in Northbrook, Illinois
7+ years previous experience in Compensation; 3 years minimum managing and leading a team of professionals
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or equivalent field
Experience modeling, interpreting, analyzing, and reporting data in a clear concise manner with attention to detail
Working knowledge of various HR systems data, functionality, reporting capabilities (Workday, Payscale - Marketpay)Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
