RN JOB POSITION
Role and Responsibilities (Duties include, but are not limited to the following)
Responsible for mixing chemotherapy.
Responsible for administering chemotherapy treatments to patients and ensuring their comfort during the chemo process.
Nurses administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom treatment and monitors patients' progress. Oncology nurses must be prepared to work with patients who have been diagnosed with life-threatening conditions.
The occupation requires emotional stability to help patients and their families work through the treatment process and cope with death if treatment fails.
Must be able to work at the Alexandria office location & the Winnsboro office location.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associates Degree in Nursing
No experience necessary
Preferred Skills & Experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and patients in-person, over the phone, or via email.
Advanced computer skills. Knowledge of computer systems and pharmacy applications (Mckesson, Asembia, Cardinal, OncoEMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc)
General understanding of billing and coding as related to coinsurance, copays, and collectibles.
Overall knowledge and basic understanding of clinical operations a plus
Ability to collect, organize, report on and maintain data, as well as establish and maintain records
Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type from draft copy, review and edit reports, and correspondence.
HIPAA Compliance.
