Job description
Semper Home Loans is actively seeking an outside mortgage loan officer. Semper is a nationwide lender licensed in 42 states. We are actively growing and looking to bring loan officers onto the Semper team! Loan officers must be actively licensed within NMLS.
Responsibilities: - Originate, verify, comply, and input application information for mortgage loans.
- Discuss and advise the client of their home loan options to help the borrower(s) make a educated decision in their best interest.
- Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets standards, including type and amount of mortgage applied for, including but not limited to borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
- Oversee entire process of loan including title discrepancies and any problems that may arise.
- Maintain and utilize CRM.
- Cold-call and set meetings to obtain new referral partners (realtors, financial advisors, etc.)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Overview:
- Current, valid NMLS license in good standing.
- Must fund a minimum of 1 loan per month by referral partners.
- 2 years outside loan originator experience.
- High School degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent communication skills written and oral.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple loans/priorities at the same time.
- Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data.
- Professional and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet the required hours of operation.
- Self-Motivated.
- Works in a highly ethical manner in any and all dealings with colleagues, clients, and partners.
