Job description

We are seeking both a strong, Quality centric individual with hands on quality control leadership skills and the ability to be a divisional quality head, for our building products division, where you will be working directly with our various roofing product lines, and products being manufactured at our central Florida manufacturing facilities in both Lake Wales and Okeechobee, FL.

What You Will Be Doing

The Quality Assurance Leader, Manager, Superintendent....whatever you want to call this person, will act as a key member of the organization's Quality Management team and will play a leading role in promoting the principles of quality, both at our local FL facilities, and beyond.

This leader will also provide technical support and direction to ensure that the products are of the highest quality, and will act as an intermediary between the sales, production, and Quality Assurance departments.

This individual is also responsible for implementing and supporting lean initiatives, deploying QA resources in various areas, and collecting data to improve the quality yield and production efficiency.

He or she has the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure that the organization's products are of the highest quality.

The individual additionally acts as the voice of the customers and is knowledgeable about the certification programs of the company.

The individual should also have the necessary skills and knowledge to implement and support the various quality management techniques and methods used to create and support the organization's manufacturing needs.

What You Need for this Position

Desired candidates will bring direct building product industry experience, ideally with direct ROOFING product expertise, working with manufacturing processes and procedures for concrete, clay, and/or stone-coated metal roof tiles, but similar experience and industry work will be applicable.

Preferably, the ideally experienced/qualified candidate should have at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

This Quality Leader should also have the necessary skills and knowledge to implement and support the various quality management techniques and methods used to create and support the organization's manufacturing needs.

Again, strong project leadership, coordination, organization, an ability to work with folks with different communication and management styles is key to success.

A bachelors degree, along with 3-5+ years of similar experience is desired, including applied knowledge of quality principles, data collection, trend analysis and problem-solving skills, along with specific leadership skills such as the ability to show leadership by influencing others, being able to juggle multiple priorities, and an ability to shift on a dime.

Hands on, direct proficiency in using various applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and be familiar with email and internet applications.
