Position Description:
GForce is looking for a senior Software Engineer specializing in developing REST APIs using Java Kotlin and Springboot/Spring framework. As a developer you will be part of a 10person product team delivering software leveraging eXtreme Programming TDD and using cloud technologies like PCF GCP and CI/CD tools like Jenkins Tekton. In this environment the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair developing working elegant tested code based on proven Lean/Agile methods. Engineers work across the full stack of technologies to enable the highest priority work to be delivered. Experience on Google Cloud Platform and UI development using Angular Javascript framework is a plus.
Skills Required:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field 5 years of experience in Object Oriented development in the following technologies: Java Kotlin Springboot/Spring framework 5 years of experience writing unit and integration tests Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment
Skills Preferred:
1 years of experience in UI Development using Angular React or similar Javascript frameworks
Experience Required:
Deep understanding of ObjectOriented Design Principles Familiar with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Testfirst/Test Driven Development (TDD) Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform Pivotal Cloud Foundry Experience with Spring/SpringBoot and RESTFUL Web services development Googles Cloud Run Knowledge of SQL databases Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally) backlogs iterations user stories or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other technical specialists Product Managers UI/UX Designers and business partners Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
