Q Center is looking for a Full Time Meeting & Event Producer to join our team!
Job Summary
The Producer I provides a combination of event management, media production, client service and project management skills to allow Q Center to sell media and event production services to clients on the property and at offsite locations. This position also supports our sales process through proposal development and client consultation.
This position is on-site with a varying schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Education & Experience
- 4 year degree in Communications, Media Production, Event Production, Marketing, Theatre, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of event and/or video production experience.
Physical Requirements
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Some travel required to support offsite events or video shoots.
Fundamental Requirements
- Consult with clients to determine project requirements, and develop creative and effective proposals for media and event production services.
- Ability to quickly understand the client’s creative, strategic, and logistical goals, and ask focused questions that establish Q Center’s credibility and assist the client in achieving their goals.
- Participate in ideation, collaborating with art and technical directors for event and media projects in order to generate concepts and brainstorm ideas.
- Balance creative vision and production ideas with client content, business needs and timelines.
- Digest and comprehend corporate business content in order to suggest communication and production solutions to suit the need.
- Manage client relationships effectively (e.g., respond to client needs, recognize sensitive issues, and seek manager review appropriately).
- Develop and track project budgets, managing project margin to contribute to Q Center’s profitability.
- Schedule space, equipment, and people (both staff and freelance) to meet project needs and ensure optimum use of internal resources; ensure schedule information is communicated to production team.
- Ability to handle many different tasks and collaborate with a wide range of teams in order to oversee events and media projects.
- Demonstrate an awareness of risks on his/her projects for our business and raise them appropriately as soon as they become aware.
- Show desire to grow business acumen and risk management skills to meet the needs of our business.
- Direct crews and talent during video shoots to ensure content is captured effectively.
- Direct the graphic design and video editing process to produce finished products that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Create production schedules and show flows to efficiently manage live events.
- Supervise production teams during live events, managing presentations, show flow and lighting cues as necessary.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and process project billings.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge, staying abreast of the latest technology as needed to meet evolving needs.
- Serve in a crew position, as needed.
- Maintain radio contact with the Department Staff and other departments throughout shift, responding to all inquiries in a timely manner using proper etiquette.
- Assist with the set up and operation of booth, lighting and audio equipment.
- Ability to conduct a professional, thorough site presentation of Q Creative offerings with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits.
