Business Operations is the glue of DE&E Technology, with a persistent focus on connecting all the pieces of the business. All the components that make up the organization – engineering, product, design, operations, support and more – come together and move the business forward with oversight, effective prioritization, and guidance. This team synthesizes information from across the business to ensure leaders are armed with all the necessary data before making strategic and financial decisions. From forecasting, funding, tracking, and reporting on projects, to ways of working, and resource management, Business Operations has transparency and input into all aspects of the team.
The Sr. Planning and Delivery Analyst provides strategic and tactical support for creating and sustaining effective operational processes. This role will be responsible for providing analysis, forecasting, and data presentation for the Technology Planning and Operations team, aligning data between initiatives, projects, resources, and financials. The position requires collaboration and interaction across other technology teams, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and support detailed analytics, tracking, and reporting of initiatives, projects, capacity planning, and resource management
- Collaborate with the team to define, establish, and implement capacity planning and resource planning including process definition, procedural documentation, tool requirements, and end-user training
- Gather data to support detailed modeling of capacity planning and metrics from statistically confident projections to provide insight into future staffing-related needs
- Assist in defining, establishing, and implementing enhancements to operational processes, procedural documentation, and tool requirements
- Provide support to Product Strategy, Program, and Portfolio teams across the organization
- Identify areas of opportunity for data improvement and operational tactics that improve performance throughout the initiative lifecycle
- Create presentations that summarize analytics and tell a story for management review
- Measure initiative performance throughout the Initiative Lifecycle including schedule, costs, risks, issues, and project forecasts
- Collaborate with project teams, resource managers, and project leaders on resource needs and identify resource constraints when they arise
- Identify, track, and help resolve cross-portfolio dependencies and conflicts
- Support Technology Planning and Operations framework, governance, and processes
- Support the completion of special projects and deliver ad-hoc requests as required
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of combined experience in business data analytics, reporting, and operations
- Knowledge of IT portfolio, product, project management, and resource and capacity planning
- Must be a team player who is motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work effectively in collaborative and autonomous environments
- Exhibit critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail
- Understand the strategic objectives to integrate seemingly disparate goals into a broader plan for synchronized, harmonious execution while delivering high value to the organization
- Solid understanding of technology and business to tell the ‘story’ behind the data
- Ability to create and present materials to management to drive decision-making and tell a compelling story
- Experience compiling data and building reports/dashboards with visualization tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, Tableau, Airtable) as well as exhibit advanced Excel knowledge including complex formulas
- Bachelors in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with JIRA, Airtable, Adaptive and Snowflake
- Prior experience in Media/Entertainment is a plus, but not a prerequisite
- Familiarity with data modeling and predictive analytics
The hiring range for this position in New York, California, and Washington is $112,600 - $165,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
