Job description
The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for TWDC, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.
Disney Music Group’s digital rights management and clearance team is on the front line of asset management, monetization and dispute resolution of all Disney and Fox published compositions across digital media, while also ensuring all music compositions embodied in digital assets by Disney Music Group are properly cleared for commercial and promotional exploitation.
As the Coordinator of Digital Rights Management, you will work alongside the department specialist to ensure user generated content embodying Disney/Fox published copyrights on YouTube, Facebook/Instagram (i.e., Meta) and TikTok are properly claimed and confirm that related exploitations of the UGC covers across digital streaming platforms are properly matched at The Mechanical Licensing Collective.
This role is also focused on ensuring all composition metadata is accurate in our recorded music repertoire system (Dnote) and any found changes are updated and messaged to the royalty accounting team to ensure the correct publishers are paid for all album sales. As the coordinator you will be connecting with third party music publishers to verify splits on older titles and secure letters of direction documenting change of ownership for our royalty files.
Your role will also be responsible for generating monthly video licensing reports and providing these to royalty accounting to ensure all music videos are set up for royalty payments.
