Job description
ATARID Specialist Recruiters to the Property and Asset Management Industry are seeking experienced industry professional on behalf of our client, a leading development and management firm specifically in affordable housing:
Asset Manager - To assist with acquisitions, disposition, asset refinancing or re-syndication. Working closely with President, you will be at the forefront to assist with the development of policies, processes, procedures for asset management.
Responsibilities:
-Knowledgeable in all aspects of affordable housing, including working with syndicators.
-Support the President in asset acquisitions.
-All aspects of investment management, underwriting, lease analysis, valuation modeling, cash flow analysis, development feasibility analysis, and all aspects of reporting.
-Devise strategies for a company in active growth mode with a portfolio of almost 10,000 units.
-Experienced in multilateral reporting.
-KPI benchmarking, and course corrective initiatives.
-Achieve successful outcome for assets by coordinating/actively working with departments including accounting, property management, revenue, construction amongst others
-Head up vendor and contract negotiations Explore new partnerships to assist in cost reduction and efficiencies within the portfolio
-Communicate business plan to property management to prepare asset for refinance, re-syndication, or sale.
-Determine market rents and market strengths etc. and make recommendations.
-Participate in operations review for ownership, providing reports including summary of operations, cash flow etc.
-Assist with due diligence for potential acquisitions.
-Review all first-year budgets to Proforma, providing variance summary.
-Participate in annual budgeting process.
-Perform market analysis, quality assurance reviews, physical needs assessments, and financial statement reviews.
-Communicate with multiple vendors, departments, financial agencies, investors, and lenders.
-Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in the industry.
-Participate in team meetings and work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in in business, finance, or related field is preferred.
-3+ years' experience in affordable housing asset management is required.
-Strong financial skills including budgets, financial modeling, in-depth reporting.
-Travel - some travel is required.
Location: Office based - Lakewood, CA
Compensation: Commensurate with experience, plus Benefits Package & Bonus.
