Purpose:
The Store Manager role is to assist the Territory Sales Manager, and other BBB sales team members in: Receiving Quotes, following up on paperwork for sales activities within the Industrial Nat Gas Business, Manage the retail/walk in customer business, and ensuring that the Industrial customers utilizing the Odessa Branch are being supported. This position will report to the Branch Manager and Territory Sales Managers.
Job Duties:
- Liaison to the Joplin and Beaumont facilities taking quotes, ensuring proper SIOP, and supporting the Industrial Business Unit with part numbers including but not limited to: Natural Gas Business, Rotating Electrical, and anticipated Hydraulics.
- Ensure accuracy of SIOP is monitored and measured to define success of this position.
- Overseeing customer account portfolios with ongoing and timely engagement. Setting up new accounts as well as assisting walk-in customers.
- Customer Service engagement by assisting with core credits, warranty issues and any technical concerns.
- Some travel will be required to local factories, distribution centers, and customer locations. (Less than 10% of time).
- Report on Fill Rate from the factories to Odessa, and Fill Rate from Odessa to the customers monthly to the Branch Manager and VP of Sales.
- Track lost sales, communicate to SIOP team monthly to minimize future lost sales. Success will be measured by decreased monthly lost sales and increased revenues.
- Develop cadence with Joplin and Beaumont to review opportunities to improve SIOP that will drive improved inventory turns and minimize core storage and aging inventory.
- Understand market dynamics and ensure that BBB is at the forefront of market changes in terms of technology and competition and communicate with Product Management Director.
- Collaborate with sales team and coordinate BBB marketing communications with outside customers (i.e. branding, advertising).
- Coordinate any trade shows and open house events for the Industrial Nat Gas sales team.
- Identify incremental revenue opportunities with current Industrial and new Industrial products based on market trends, customer requests, or territory sales feedback. Communicate results to Product Management and Director of Nat Gas Sales.
- Coordinate Industrial product team initiatives with sales, category management, engineering, catalog, technical service and customer service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis toward Technical/Marketing/Business Disciplines.
Minimum experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas market, or experience within Turbo field.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to ascertain customer requirements, and propose workable solutions based on existing and emergent technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Preferred bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
