About This Role:

Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a talented Congressional Inquiry Analyst. 

Role Overview:  The Congressional & Priority Correspondence Analyst will support senior analysts with most aspects of the Optum Serve Community Care Services (CCS) Congressional inquiry process which includes the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care Network (CCN) and other government contracts as assigned. The Analyst will work under the direction of the Government Relations Department Manager. The Analyst will be responsible for validating appropriate legal documentation is on file to ensure Protected Identifiable Information (PII) or Protected Health Information (PHI) is appropriately secure. The Analyst will support the manager and senior analyst with all administrative related functions in processing a case and additional duties as assigned which may include sending research to internal subject matter experts across government programs. The Analyst will support with accurately documenting all key performance markers utilized by VA to monitor Optum’s VA CCN contract performance. Work instructions and other source of truth documents are used to ensure the proper processes were followed, and accurate and complete information is provided.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high volume of inquiries through an efficient and effective response development process
• Screen and prioritize incoming inquiries to ensure timely response
• Ensure appropriate legal documentation is on file
• Correctly use all tools/resources (e.g., Med Net, ServiceNow, VA CCN Portal, and Rumba) for evaluation of Congressional & Priority correspondence
• Determine appropriate next steps to obtain resolution
• Execute established processes to obtain input from internal subject matter experts for responses
• Ensure correspondence-related contract requirements are met
• Support maintenance of all case files
• Work independently
• Outstanding communicator in all forms
• Recognize trends and assist with possible preventative action
• Identify, communicate, and implement opportunities for improving internal processes within the Government Relations Department
• Other activities as assigned

The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Word (creating / updating documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating / updating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and formulas)
• Familiarity with HIPPA requirements
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to organize material from various sources, analyze and draw logical conclusions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and respond quickly to sensitive inquiries
• Strong personal integrity and the ability to form effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in the inquiry process

High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of related experience or BA/BS degree (and/or equivalent) in related field

Minimum Background Check 

• 2+ year of claim or appeal processing experience in the healthcare industry
• 3+ years communication/customer service experience in the healthcare industry
