Position Summary

The Fine Arts Lead Teacher on Assignment provides leadership in the development, implementation, and management of the Fine Arts programs for each grade level (K-12) at Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS). The Fine Arts Lead Teacher provides guidance in identifying appropriate instructional strategies, and providing professional development. This position is also responsible for facilitating the development of a comprehensive K-12 Fine Arts curriculum. Program areas include visual arts, theater, instrumental and vocal music, and dance.

Position Responsibilities Qualifications Skills/Knowledge/Abilities *Note: This is not a supervisory position and does not include the evaluation of colleagues.

Compensation: $50,000-$82,010
Additional signing bonus of $1,500, payable upon commencement of employment

Contract: 188 Days

Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment
