Job description
Job Summary:
As a Bistro Morning Server at Courtyard Fargo, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional food and beverage service to hotel guests and patrons. This is a part-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Fargo, North Dakota. You will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming dining experience for guests, while also assisting with daily operations of the bistro and ensuring quality food and service.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $13 to $14.5 per hour, paid biweekly. Along with competitive pay, eligible employees will also receive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and discounted hotel stays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders, and ensure accurate and timely service
- Answer any questions about menu items, and make recommendations
- Monitor and maintain dining room cleanliness and organization
- Prepare and set up tables for service, as well as clean and reset tables after guests have finished their meals
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with food and beverage inventory and ordering
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a timely and courteous manner
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position in the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, preparation, and presentation
- Cash handling and basic math skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift up to 20 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
