Job description

A Senior Mass Properties Engineer job in Kent, WA is currently available through Belcan. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar discipline and five to seven years of experience with mass properties management of commercial aerospace flight hardware. Experience with mass property estimation, verification, and statistical analysis for complex, commercial spaceflight systems are strongly preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the development and maintenance of mass properties procedures, methods, predictions and database management. This will involve close, on-site collaboration with the customer"s design and manufacturing teams to continuously improve manufacturing data streams, inspection procedures, fidelity of the mass properties database, and the confidence of forecasted system mass. Job Duties:

Required: Preferred: 10 - 15 years' experience with mass properties in the aerospace industry. Extensive experience with mass properties control processes with an emphasis on mitigating threats and capitalizing on opportunities. Familiarity with ANSI/AIAA S-120. Familiarity with different alloy systems (Ni, Fe, Al, and Ti based) and their subsequent mass properties. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on material and data flows, authoring work instructions, and interfacing with technicians. We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $115,000 to $175,000.
