Marketing and Communications Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The  Marketing  and Communications Coordinator is a vital part of  the Development Department and is responsible for  developing communication and marketing strategies for targeted audiences through the creation and delivery of promotional content across print, digital and electronic platforms to increase awareness and support for The Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association. This includes researching, writing, editing, proofing, and publishing information that effectively and accurately portrays the organization’s mission, purpose, and impact. As a member of the Development Team the Marketing and Communications Coordinator  collaborates with all departments and reports to the Executive Director.

 

· Personal testimony of salvation and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.

· Must agree with and embrace the mission, ministry purposes, and goals of The Gospel Tide Broadcasting Association.

· Demonstrates concern for the growth and outreach of the ministry.

· Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, social/digital communications, or related field preferred. Comparable education and experience will be considered.

· Excellent writing and grammar skills, including proof-reading and editing proficiency, and general communications abilities to provide written material for publications (a writing sample may be requested)

· Competency in photography/videography skills and graphic design.

· Knowledge and experience in internet communications and social networking platforms.

· Experience with print and digital publishing and developing presentations using various software. (Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite is necessary)

· Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, learn new trends, and solve problems.

· Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals.

· Possess a positive attitude and the ability to establish and maintain strong effective working relationships. Good team player.

· Self-starter, able to organize and lead projects with minimal supervision.

· Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Comfortable with minor public speaking engagements.

 

· Assist in budget development for organizational marketing and communications efforts and provide projections and recommendations.

· Manage and review content for The Tide websites and update with fresh content on a regular basis.
