Job Summary:
The Assistant Guest Services Manager at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is responsible for assisting in overseeing all aspects of the hotel's guest services department, including front desk operations, concierge services, and guest relations. This individual will work closely with the Guest Services Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences and maintain the hotel's high standards of service. This is a full-time, individual contributor role, and the ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospitality and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Assists in managing and supervising the daily operations of the guest services department, including front desk, concierge, and guest relations.
- Ensures that all guests receive exceptional service and resolves any guest concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assists in training and coaching guest services staff to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
- Takes an active role in overseeing the guest arrival and departure process, including check-ins and check-outs, room assignments, and billing.
- Collaborates with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Assists in maintaining accurate records, including room availability, room rates, and guest information.
- Assists in managing guest requests and special arrangements, such as transportation or restaurant reservations.
- Assists in maintaining the hotel's standard operating procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Assists in managing departmental budgets and controlling expenses.
- Assists in conducting regular department meetings and providing feedback and recommendations to the Guest Services Manager.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or business management is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a guest services or front desk management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and amenities is a plus.
